Our Brisbane life drawing sessions are self-guided and facilitated by two local artists, Frances & Rhianna. We provid basic materials such as pencils, paper and markers, but you are encouraged to bring additional materials you would like to work with, such as a quality sketchbook, watercolour, ink etc. All classes are suitable for ages 16+. All location, parking and accessibility information can be found on the eventbrite listing - as we are pop-up, this can change depending on the venue. A ticket is required to enter. All drawing experience levels are warmly welcomed and encouraged!

We have a strict cancellation policy that requires you to request a refund more than 24 hours before an event. You can request a refund via your appointment email to open up the spot for another drawer at least 1 day beforehand. We cannot swap your ticket for another date.

We do accept companion cards we just require confirmation before the event so we can allocate space.

By registering for our Brisbane life drawing sessions, you are consenting to your inclusion in photography and/or promotional material. If you would like to be excluded from photography, no problem at all - please let us know at the start of class.

BYO drawing materials / basic materials are provided. Please arrive 10 minutes early to find a seat, get settled and have a little chat.

Please keep your phone away while the model is posing, but you're welcome to use it during the break.

We love seeing your artworks! Please tag us @studiomaverik if you upload an image of your creations.

We love to welcome enthusiastic new models into our community. The first step is to make sure you have attended our classes before to ensure you understand the vibe, the format and that you’re comfortable and excited to try out modelling. It’s important to understand how modelling translates into drawing, so it’s essential that you’ve attended life drawing as a drawer before.

We either work with experienced life models or we collaborate with new models from our regular drawers who are a part of the Studio Maverik community. If you’ve been attending our sessions and are looking to try life modelling, be sure to introduce yourself to us (Frances & Rhianna) and express your interest. We can take it from there!

We can occasionally cater to private drawing classes depending on the date and availability of our studio space. If you are interested in having Studio Maverik facilitate a private event, please get in touch to find out our availability and event quote. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your event but would love to chat!

Unfortunately, we do not cater to private hens parties, however you are most welcome to book and join in on one of our public classes as a group if you are after a casual, fun and respectful event.
